Trudie is a Certified Personal Trainer (Can-Fit Pro) and Reebok Spinning Instructor. She has also completed the TRX and BOSU training courses and is close to receiving a certification as a Registered Training Specialist (RTS) through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). Trudie placed second in her first competition at the O.P.A. (Ontario Physique Association) 2011 in the figure short division.
Growing up in Jamaica, Trudie was not considered an athletic child. It was after seeing Angela Bassett arms in her portrayal of Tina Turner in the film, “Whats Love Got to do with it,” where Trudies’ love and passion for fitness began. She started training herself to achieve those chiselled “Angela Bassett’s” arms, which she has achieved.
After earning a Bachelor of Arts degree at York University in Toronto, Trudie spent years in the corporate world as an insurance underwriter, when she realised her love for assisting others in achieving and maintaining a healthy lifestyle, was her true love. She therefore embarked on a new journey and has had no regrets since. Trudie placed second in her first fitness competition at the O.P.A. (Ontario Physique Association) 2011 in the figure short division.
“Health and Fitness is a lifestyle, not a resolution.”
